Diabetic Foot

Diabetic Foot

Diabetics often suffer from what is called “diabetic foot”, especially those patients who are careless or unable to manage their diabetes treatment, and not take care of their feet, which exposes them to frequent and chronic infections and may sometimes lead to tissue death and amputation.

Complications of diabetes include nerve damage in the feet, poor blood flow, and clots. Among the things that increase the complication rate:

  • smoking
  • Lack of regular follow-up with the diabetes doctor
  • Kidney, pressure and heart problems
  • Too many unnecessary medicines without consulting a doctor

Always remember that prevention is better than cure. Diabetes needs full awareness of the disease and avoid recklessness.
