Stem cells are obtained by culturing and centrifuging, after which it is applied in two ways. One of these methods is direct intra-articular injection. In this technique, the stem cells themselves must reach the damaged site after the injection. The second method, after placing the stem cells on carriers called arrays, the joint is surgically opened and the array containing the stem cells is placed in the damaged area and secured with various adhesives.
